Doha Madani, a breaking news reporter at NBC News visited Professor Nicole Lewis’s Reporting and Writing 1 class earlier this semester.
Madani explained her approach to breaking news stories and walked students through her coverage of the shooting of Breonna Taylor in Kentucky.
She made it clear to students why they need to interview a variety of sources during a breaking news event.
She also shared her strategies for taking care of herself while reporting difficult stories.
