On Thursday June 6, My Brooklyn will open the annual conference of the Planners Network. The screening will take place at Hunter College (714HW) at 5pm, and will be followed by a panel discussion with Peter Marcuse (Professor Emeritus of Urban Planning at Columbia University), Rob Robinson (Co-Founder, Take Back the Land Movement and Housing Program Volunteer, National Social and Economic Rights Initiative) and My Brooklyn co-creators Kelly Anderson and Allison Lirish Dean.

Prof. Thakur screens film at the New York International Short Film Festival
Th film “Red Tulips, A Story About Forgetting” written and directed by Shanti Thakur will screen at the New York International Short Film Festival, Tuesday, May 28th at 7:30pm. It will screen at the Landmark Sunshine Cinema at 143 E. Houston Street on the Lower East Side.
Red Tulips recently won the Grand Remi Award in Experimental Film at Worldfest-Houston International Film Festival and Best Narrative Film at Columbus International Film Festival. Screenings include: LA Shortsfest, Mill Valley Film Festival, St. Louis International Film Festival and Athens International Film Festival.
