Job Description

The Times offers internships in all of its departments for a 12-week summer program. Our interns gain hands-on experience, working alongside staffers who offer guidance and respect them as equals. Interns are paid a weekly salary and also are eligible for scholarships from the Tampa Bay Times Fund.

Sophomores, juniors, seniors and graduate students pursuing careers in media are encouraged to apply. Experience at a college publication is a plus, and applicants should have at least one professional internship. Interns also will need their own reliable transportation.

Our Journalism Concentration & Minor

The Hunter College journalism program is offered as a concentration or a minor within the Department of Film & Media Studies. Its curriculum is built around production courses in journalism and analytical courses in media studies. Learn more about our course requirements.
