IMA student Betty Yu wins Art Matters grant

IMA student Betty Yu won an Art Matters Grant for her film project, The War Within: Healing the Wounds. Her documentary features the lives of veterans and active soldiers of the Iraq and Afghanistan wars.

Screening of “PUZZLES” – A film by Prof. Tami Gold and IMA student David Pavlosky

On Tuesday, February 11th, The Hunter College Women and Gender Studies, The Astraea Lesbian Foundation for Justice, The New York City Anti-Violence Project, and The Empire State Pride Agenda presents:
PUZZLES, When Hate Came To Town, a film by David Pavlosky and Tami Gold.

The screening will be held at 6:30PM at the Lang Recital Hall in Hunter College NYC.

IMA alum Olaf Betram-Nothnagel at the Global Activism Symposium

IMA alum Olaf Betram-Nothnagel gave a short talk at the Center for Art and Media Technology (ZKM) as a part of a Global Activism Symposium on January 24th. Many scholars, artists and activists joined this exhibition project with the purpose of discussing the development and form of the socio-political significance of civil engagement in the 21st century.
