“Navigating through the ghostly two million square feet of the former Bell Laboratories in Holmdel, NJ, Echoes from the Black Box is an experimental documentary with live audio soundtrack that explores popular myths about innovation and unrestrained free markets. The abandoned disarray of the interiors and the careful choreography of renowned architect Eero Saarinen’s structure becomes the sonic focus of the work as the performers respond to the reverberant characteristics of the lab spaces, the visual detritus, and the lines of the architecture in their live composition.”
