IMA alumna Meredith Whitefield presenting on a panel about Photoactivism

IMA alumna Meredith Whitfield will be presenting on a panel at Foreign at the Gallery Space at Wagner. Foreign is multimedia project documenting the experiences of refugees and migrants from the Middle East and North Africa arriving in Europe. The panel Foreigner: Photoactivism, Representation, and the Refugee Crises will explore the role of photography in offering counter-narratives to inflammatory and homogenized representations of refugees and the potential for the arts to impact public discourse and policy.

IMA student Jeremy Levine’s screenings

IMA student Jeremy Levine’s feature doc For Ahkeem will be screening at BAM and Village East Cinema.
He co-directed and workshopped it in one of Prof. Andrew Lund’s classes. The film is a coming-of-age drama against the backdrop of Ferguson.
