Terror – Eyespeak Film Screening

The IMA student group Eyespeak is hosting a screening of the documentary film (T)ERROR at the Lang Theater/HN424 on Friday, November 11 at 7 p.m. Co-director Lyric Cabral will be in attendance for a Q&A following the film.

(T)ERROR is an amazing work of journalism and verite cinema that interrogates the often unseen costs of living in a surveillance state. It won the Special Jury Prize at Sundance along with the Grand Jury Prize at Full Frame, among other awards. Here’s a brief synopsis:

IMA MFA Program invited to DOC NYC

IMA MFA Program was invited to participate in DOC NYC’s upcoming DOC NYC – U, a day of student screenings from top graduate programs like Columbia, NYU, and SVA.

The IMA showcase (IFC Center, Friday, November 11: 10:15 AM – 11:30 AM) includes nine short films by current students and recent alumni. IMA alumna Deirdre Fishel’s doc, CARE, will also be screening as well (Nov 13th 2:15pm).

IMA student Rachel Brown’s screening

YES I RODE HERE has been selected for the 32nd International Short Film Festival Berlin, as part of the Bike Shorts Delicacies program, Nov 16th, 18th and 20th. The piece will also be part of Bike Shorts on Tour, organized by Interfilm Berlin as well.Rachel made this doc in Prof. Gitlin’s Microcultural Incidents course.
