On March 11, after student pressure and advice from healthcare experts, students were notified that CUNY and SUNY schools would be switching from in-person classes to online distance learning. Classes would be canceled for one week to provide faculty enough time to procure lesson plans to fit the situation. At first, many students were happy to work from home, but as the sobering news and facts about coronavirus continued to roll in, many of those same students began to realize the severity of the situation–and eventually the anxiety ensued.
