IMA alumna Laurie’s screening

Laurie Sumiye Filiak’s animated short documentary Of Memory & Los Sures will be premiering at BAMcinemaFest on Sat, June 30th as part of the All-City Shorts Program. She collaborated with radio producer Andrew Parsons on this film during her residency at UnionDocs last year. It features voices of longtime residents of Southside Williamsburg, weaving their recollections of their neighborhood into a collective portrait of a place in transition.
