The Illuminator Collective (three are IMAer’s) – Grayson Earle, Anna and Rachel Brown had their first solo gallery show, Wall, Street. Netherlands Meets New York screening

Background: Twenty students from the Netherlands hone their skills in media arts during a 14-day program at Hunter College, sponsored by the Department of Film and Media Studies. They produce documentary shorts or video news stories that will be screened along with student work from the Hunter College Department of Film and Media Studies and the IMA/MFA Integrated Media Arts Program. The students are led by John Driedonks, and Hunter graduate Brian Maston, who earned a Hunter BA in Film (2003) and now teaches as a senior lecturer in Film and Media Studies at the Hogeschool Utrecht University of Applied Sciences.

Prof. Tami Gold along with other documentary filmmakers will be presenting at THINK/POINT/SHOOT panel. This panel will bring together documentarians to discuss the role of ethics in modern media creation. They will screen excerpts of their work and discuss critical issues in all stages of media creation from preproduction research and development to production, post production and distribution. The panelists have all contributed to the recently published book THINK/POINT/SHOOT.
