Prof. Andrew Demirjian and Dahlia Elsayed’s installation Souvenirs from the Future at The Arab American National Museum was reviewed in Hyperallergic.

Prof. Andrew Demirjian’s film Recalibrating is the winner of the Jury Award for Fiction at the NO AR Drone Film Festival in Belo Horizonte, Brazil. The film was co-written by Prof. Andrew Lund.

IMA alumni Daniel Phelps and Megan Sperry’s thesis film The Domino Effect (2012) produced with partner Brian Paul is mentioned in The New York Times Feb. 12.

The film explores the origins and impacts of gentrification and luxury redevelopment in Williamsburg and Greenpoint, Brooklyn.

Congratulations to Prisca Edwards and Carlos Morales. They are the recipients of the IMA Make Space Fellowships. They will be mentoring undergraduate students in the Mellon Public Humanities and Social Justice Scholars program at Hunter College.

Make Space is a project-in-progress that centers co-created media making, digital humanities and collaborative storytelling to promote public discourse, social justice and community-centered pedagogy.
