Prof. Andrew Demirjian releases a new Audio AR app in the Apple App store

Prof. Andrew Demirjian’s project Echoes of Liberation is out now in the Apple Store.

He will be giving a socially distanced, guided walking tour of the new Audio AR artwork, Echoes of Liberation, on the Rutgers University Newark campus. The tour takes place entirely outdoors and meets in front of the Dana Library in Norman Samuels Plaza on Sat. 10/10 &  Sun. 10/11 at 4PM as part of the Newark Arts Festival.

Tues. Oct. 13 | 3:00-4:30PM Working with masks in Adobe After Effects
Presenter: Tatiana Stolpovskaya
Hands on 90min intensive. Learn creative ways of using masks and Track Mattes in After Effects. 
Prerequisite: Basic knowledge of Adobe After Effects. Adobe Photoshop/Premier is a big plus!

  • Difference of Masks & Shape Layers
  • How to animate masks using keyframes
  • Animate masks to reveal text
  • Multiple masks for creating split screens
  • Mask a layer with another layer (Use of Alpha and Luma Track Mates)

Thurs. Oct 29th | 6:30-7:30PM |  Production Design and Asset Making

Using Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and Indesign, learn tips and tricks for how different assets such as vectors, images and graphics can be utilized in production and layout design, along with some of the do’s and don’ts when it comes to print production. 


Thurs. Nov. 5 | 1-2PM | p5.js for Beginners
Presenter: Nahee Kim
Using p5.js which is a javascript library for creative coding with html5 canvas element, let’s add fun interactivity to your website. We will play with face recognition but things can be changed and added. 
Prerequisites: Laptop with webcam is needed. Please check if you have a text editor (ex. Sublime Text, Atom) and browsers like Chrome or Firefox on your computer. Basic knowledge and experience with HTML, CSS, and Javascript is a plus but not required.
