IMA student Betty Yu receives two grants

IMA student Betty Yu received a grant from the Brooklyn Arts Council for an interactive community art project Celebrating Our Ancestors at Sunset in Sunset Park, Brooklyn.

Additionally, she received a grant from the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council’s (LMCC) Creative Engagement for a community-led and anti-gentrification media project Here to Stay in Chinatown.

IMA alum Jonas Pariente’s project received UNESCO’s patronage

IMA alum Jonas Pariente’s Grandmas Project received UNESCO’s patronage.

The project: “Grandmas Project is a collaborative web-documentary inviting filmmakers to do a short film about their own grandmother, using the transmission of a beloved recipe to question their relationship and the heritage that is being passed down from one generation to another.”
