“Who We Are” exhibition: call for submissions

In fall 2021 a screen-based window display featuring student creative work regarding racial equity will be mounted at Hunter College. Please submit images, video, poetry and short works of writing concerning racial equity for a public exhibition to challenge our perceptions, and make visible the diverse creativity of the Hunter College community. To submit work, please fill out the form linked below. The dropbox link for work submission is at the bottom of the form. DEADLINE EXTENDED: JUNE 14TH.

As this will be a street-facing screen display, audio is not supported. Any video works with audible text must be captioned. Video works should not be longer than 2-6 minutes. Text-based works will be transferred and presented as video.

Submitted works will be reviewed by a selection committee consisting of Maura Donohue (Dance), Elizabeth Nunez (English), Jessie Daniels (Sociology), Yarimar Bonilla (Africana and Puerto Rican/Latino Studies), Anna Ortega-Williams (Social Work), and Ricardo Miranda Zuniga (Film & Media Studies).

As well as selecting the works to be featured, the committee will award four prizes of $250. The awards will be based on artistic quality and conceptual strength. DEADLINE EXTENDED: JUNE 14TH.
