The first Eyespeak Artist Talk of the year will kick off Wednesday, November 30th at 7PM with acclaimed documentary editor, producer and director Sam Pollard! He will present excerpts from the following works:

Style Wars
4 Little Girls
Shirley Chisholm: Unbought and Unbossed
When The Levees Broke
If God Is Willing
Marvin Gaye: What’s Going On
A sneak peak of his latest documentary, Slavery By Another Name

He will also be offering four one-on-one 15 minute critiques with students prior to the screening. Interested students should email eyespeakima@gmail.com by 11/18.

IMA Bahman Farmanara Screening

Screening: Friday, March 12, 2010 at 5:30 PM

IMA, Eyespeak and Eyescreen welcome Iranian film director Bahman Farmanara to a lecture and screening of his work at Hunter College on Friday, March 12th at 5:30pm. Farmanara is one of Iran’s leading directors and has influenced directors throughout the world including Jonathan Demme. Farmanara is spending a month as a visiting filmmaker at the Jacob Burns Film Center in Pleasantville, NY as part of there International Filmmaker-in-Residence series. Please come and join us on the 12th.
