IMA alumna Betty Yu will be one of the speakers at the Saturday Morning Plenary as apart of a Digital Media Conference. The plenary opens at 10:30 AM on Saturday, October 26. Chloe Smolarski will be hosting a workshop and screening her film afterwards.

IMA alumna Chloe’s film screening
Chloe Smolarski’s film will be playing SUNDAY, OCTOBER 7th at 6 PM at Anthology Film Archives as part of their ‘New Filmmakers‘ series.
There will be a small reception and after drinks after the show.
‘Admissions: Student Stories from Undocumented America” is a character driven, feature-length creative nonfiction film exploring the highly personal stories of four students: Blanca, Charlie, Viridiana and Jong Min. Featuring experimental sound design, unsynchronized imagery, and a metaphorical language, ‘Admissions’ hopes to add to vital discussions on issues related to immigration, identity, and social justice.

Chloe will be presenting her film Admissions
on June 2nd at the CRSEA 2012 conference – The Critical Race Studies in Education Association.
There will be a public screening at LaGuardia Community College
on May 30 at 2:00 PM in the Little Theater.
In the summer and fall, she will be screening at Anthology Film Archives
– as well as a series of out-reach tours being planned for the fall semester at universities across the United States and in Western Europe.
