IMA alumna Meredith Goncalves’ thesis piece Sisters in Arms about women veterans from Vietnam to Iraq will be showing during the Society for Photographic Education conference:

IMA student Martyna Starosta recently co-founded the video journalism collective New York Video League. This week, the group aired it’s first short web documentary on the online platform Waging Nonviolence. The video “Police on Playback” provides insights into the history and tactics of cowatch activism:

This screening of the landmark New York-centered horror film will be introduced by Adam Lowenstein, professor of film studies at the University of Pittsburgh and author of Shocking Representation: Historical Trauma, National Cinema, and the Modern Horror Film (Columbia University Press, 2005). Lowenstein will also lead the audience in a discussion after the screening. Refreshments provided.
