Prof. Ricardo Miranda’s VR project

Incertidumbre Camaguey

During spring break, Prof. Ricardo Miranda presented his virtual reality project INCERTIDUMBRE – a virtual reality game that investigates the sensibility of dislocation by presenting personal accounts from immigrants to the United States as well as individuals on the wrong side of gentrification.  The project was presented on the streets of Camaguey, Cuba as part of the 8th he International Videoart Festival of Camagüey (FIVAC) – a festival and conference dedicated to national and international video-creation practice.  It is a forum for discussion and debate of the main issues surrounding this artistic expression.
