Prof. Kelly Anderson, IMA alumni Pam Sporn, and Betty Yu presented “Examining Films on Resistance Movements” at “New Day Films” ongoing Reframe & Refresh series Feb. 23.

The IMA MFA program has been awarded the Create with VR Headset Grant by Unity Technologies, which consists of 24 Meta Quest VR headset packages, including charging cables, two touch controllers, two AA batteries, a power adapter, and a glasses spacer.

The grant proposal, submitted by Professor Andrew Demirjian and IMA alum Luca Lee, focused on strengthening the technical support for current and future VR classes for IMA students and their independent XR and VR practices.

Prof. Andrew Demirjian and Dahlia Elsayed’s installation Souvenirs from the Future at The Arab American National Museum was reviewed in Hyperallergic.

Prof. Andrew Demirjian’s film Recalibrating is the winner of the Jury Award for Fiction at the NO AR Drone Film Festival in Belo Horizonte, Brazil. The film was co-written by Prof. Andrew Lund.
