To mark Black History Month at Roosevelt House, please join us for a discussion of the book Power: The Rise of Black Women in America—How Black Women Embody the American Dream, Defy Oppression, and Win, co-presented by the Hunter College Department of Africana, Puerto Rican, and Latino Studies. The author—journalist and Hunter College adjunct professor of media studies Charity C. FM student Rosa Ramos receives scholarship

Rosa Ramos

Media Major Rosa Ramos is the recipient of the Benjamin A. Gilman Scholarship to study abroad. After graduation, Rosa hopes to pursue a career in TV/Film production or marketing. The Gilman scholarship will help fund Rosa’s study abroad trip to Florence during the Winter 2023 session where she will be studying the Italian Renaissance. This is a Hunter program that will be led by Profs. Monica Calabritto and Julie Van Peteghem.
