April 11 | 7pm
The National Sawdust – Brooklyn

Last Summer Fernanda and Megan were invited to collaborate in this exciting project developed by composer Felipe Salles with the aid of a John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Foundation fellowship.
After an extensive and diligent research made by Megan, that included contacting the CUNYDREAMers, an organization funded and run by undocumented students, they were able to interview 12 Dreamers from different backgrounds, ages, and ethnicities.

The powerful stories shared by this diverse group were used as inspiration for the music composed for large jazz ensemble, and for the visuals directed, shot and edited by Fernanda. Excerpts of the interviews were incorporated as part of the piece, as well.
