Prof. Kelly Anderson for her documentary My Brooklyn, Alumni Clarisa James & Sha Sha Feng of their non profit organization DIVAS for Social Justice (3 awards), and IMA student Tamara Gubernat receive Brooklyn Arts Council Awards (BAC) for 2011.

Congrats to Melissa Hacker: The Venus video – screening at the Hunter Gallery through April 30th, has been reviewed today in the New York Times – in a front page review!
IMA student Kalim Armstrong’s film “In the Woods”
IMA student Kalim Armstrong has been shooting on his thesis film “In the Woods”, a feature documentary about a community living in a homeless encampment and their legal battle against eviction. He has just launched a Kickstarter campaign to raise a some funds to continue post-production.
