IMA student Katie Doyle received a graduate student travel award from the Dean of Arts & Sciences for the JDRF Type One Summit in Brisbane, Australia. She led a teen session called Spotlight on Storytelling and collaborated with event organizers and undergrad students from Queensland University of Technology. Teens with diabetes and their siblings worked on each aspect of live production culminating in a 2 minute video, which premiered at a virtual screening Nov. 22.

Join faculty from the Department of Film & Media Studies, Emerging Media major to learn about the curriculum and ask questions that you may have about classes. The curriculum may be found on the Media Studies major page.
Following an overview of the major, the president of the student club – ESports Game Design Collective will be discussing the student organized collective – what they do, how they meet and how you can join. Following the presentations, faculty will field questions that you may have concerning the curriculum.

IMA alumna Betty Yu’s work at the Queens Museum is featured in The New York Times. Her collage, “Speculating Flushing” (2020), a component of combined media installation “Resistance in Progress” (2020) is on view until Jan. 17th. Her project is part of a group show called, After the Plaster Foundation, or, “Where can we live?”.
