Professor Mercado was invited by EFTI (https://efti.es), one of Europe’s most prestigious photography centers, to conduct a week-long directing master class as part of their international masters program in directing and film production. Based in Madrid, Spain, since 1987, EFTI has had over 8,000 students from 50 countries pass through their doors; previous guests of their masters program include Bradford Young, ASC (Arrival, Solo: A Star Wars Story), Andrzej Sekula, ASC (Pulp Fiction, American Psycho), and César Charlone, ASC (City of God, The Constant Gardener).
