The Film Society (Hunter student run club) is coming back in full force with one of its many future screenings, with its first being held this March. We are showing Summer Ghost, an Indie Anime Film that should get people riled up for Spring and eventually Summer.  To also join the Film Society, look out for our posters that contain a QR code on it! Artist Talk: “Breaking and Remaking the Character-Driven Documentary“
Empathy for individual protagonists, and their story arcs, are the lifeblood of many documentary films. What are some drawbacks of character-driven storytelling, and how can we expand documentary vocabulary and form to convey complex stories of power and collectivity? Stephen Maing will draw on his own films and experiences to explore these timely and critical questions.
