IMA alumna Kayoko Nakamura’s VR work “Cocolo” Gospel in Harlem will be showing at the International Center of Photography group exhibition. Opening: Friday, June 22nd, 6-9PM at ICP. The project is supported by Google Jump Start Program. Kayoko received a $25,000 scholarship from ICP New Media Narratives Program.

IMA students, alumni and faculty Tami Gold, Sha Sha Feng, Candace Thompson, Benj Gerdes, and Jason Fox presented at Skidmore College’s John B. Moore Documentary Studies Collaborative (MDOCS) Forum June 7-10. Sarah Friedland is The Storyteller’s Institute Director and IMA alumna. This annual event brings together makers, scholars, activists and students to present artistic works, panel discussions, workshops and conversations that engage with the yearly theme, Surveil/Surveilled, and documentary practice.

Prof. Kelly Anderson is featured in an art project by Charlotte Lagarde at Claudia Rankine’s Social Imaginary Institute at Yale. It’s also part of an exhibition called “On Whiteness” that opening at The Kitchen on June 27th.
Additionally, Prof. Anderson is featured on “What I Hear When You Say Gentrification” on PBS.
