Integrated Media Arts MFA accepting Fall 2014 applications

The Integrated Media Arts at Hunter College (IMA MFA) is now accepting applications for the Fall 2014 class. The admissions deadline is coming this March 1st, 2014.

IMA MFA welcomes prospective students to apply from all backgrounds who demonstrate an interest in developing as an artist through this specialized integrated curriculum. A portfolio application is required as well as a project summary and personal statement submitted online in addition to the Hunter College Graduate Admissions Application Requirements. CODES & MODES: Producing Documentary Culture

The Integrated Media Arts MFA Program and the Department of Film and Media Students will be hosting a documentary ‘unconference’ at Hunter on April 4th and 5th. One of the main interests is bringing together documentary community with graduate students and faculty to look at how documentary culture is created across academic programs, through media arts centers, festivals, funders and other venues.

IMA student Betty Yu wins Art Matters grant

IMA student Betty Yu won an Art Matters Grant for her film project, The War Within: Healing the Wounds. Her documentary features the lives of veterans and active soldiers of the Iraq and Afghanistan wars.
