IMA alumna Tamara Gubernat’s Screening at Roosevelt House

Tamara Gubernat (IMA) and Tom Gubernat will be featuring their film Open Process, at Roosevelt House. The film examines the value of civic participation through the stories of Brooklyn Community Board 1 members, city residents and neighborhoods.

IMA graduate Sam Feder featured on Huffington Post

IMA graduate student Sam Feder was featured on the Huffington Post, Beyond Transition: Documentaries Capture Rich, Complex Transgender Lives. The article talks about the portrayal of transgender people in mass media and progressing from the tragic image they are given to capturing more rich and complex portraits of trans folks. The article introduces Sam’s current project, Kate Bornstein Is a Queer and Pleasant Danger along with 5 other projects highlighting trans artists.
