IMA alumna Chloe’s film screening

Chloe Smolarski’s film will be playing SUNDAY, OCTOBER 7th at 6 PM at Anthology Film Archives as part of their ‘New Filmmakers‘ series.  

There will be a small reception and after drinks after the show.

Admissions: Student Stories from Undocumented America” is a character driven, feature-length creative nonfiction film exploring the highly personal stories of four students:  Blanca, Charlie, Viridiana and Jong Min. Featuring experimental sound design, unsynchronized imagery, and a metaphorical language, ‘Admissions’ hopes to add to vital discussions on issues related to immigration, identity, and social justice.

Come watch Dakan
Our series premier presents the first feature length film on African Queerness, directed by Mohamed Camara. Produced in Guinea, Dakan follows the familial, communal, and spiritual struggles experienced in this “Romeo and Juliet” love story of two men. Following the showing, documentary filmmaker Seyi Adebanjo will facilitate a critical discussion on the intersections of community, sexuality, and spirit.
