F&M Hunter College students, faculty and staff at YouTube University
On October 1st, the Hunter College Film and Media Studies students, faculty and staff joined other colleges from the New York City area at the YouTube headquarters in Chelsea for a workshop on how to start a YouTube channel and leverage an online presence. YouTube’s Content Partnership Team and a panel of five media creators talked about the opportunities this platform has to offer, and shared their insider experiences and strategies used to develop their productions. Hunter’s enthusiasm and energy was felt all around the room and welcomed by the YouTube staff and the other participants.
The Domino Effect screening at the Cities & Citizenship Conference
IMA alumni Megan Sperry and Daniel Phelps will be screening The Domino Effect at the Cities & Citizenship Conference. The conference is part of the Goethe-Institut’s Weltstadt: Who Creates the City? project, taking place in major cities around the world and culminating in a conference in Berlin in May. The Domino Effect will be opening the conference on Thursday March 13th at 7:00PM with a panel discussion to follow. On the following Saturday, the 15th, Megan Sperry will be conducting her workshop, Community Organizing, Communications and Documentary Filmmaking from 12:00-1:00PM.
