Prof. Gitlin’s film “That Which Is Possible” at the ReelAbilities Film Festival

Prof. Gitlin’s film, That Which Is Possible, is playing as part of the ReelAbilities Film Festival this weekend.

“Musical, bracing, and tender, That Which Is Possible is a portrait of a community of artists making work at the Living Museum, an art-space on the grounds of a large state-run psychiatric hospital in Queens, New York.”

The Museum of the Moving Image, Queens
Admission: $12; includes all exhibits at the museum.

IMA student Christopher Nostrand’s film accepted into The Underexposed Film Festival

Christopher Nostrand (IMA) produced his film Garbage Girl in Professor Michael Gitlin’s Microcultural incidents class last spring. With the help of IMA student Kayoko Nakamura, the film was accepted into The Underexposed Film Festival where it will be screening during November 14-16th at the Community Performance Center in South Carolina.
