Prof. Gustavo Mercado’s master class at EFTI in Madrid, Spain

Prof. Mercado recently concluded a week-long master class on cinematic composition and lens techniques at EFTI – Internacional Center for Cinema and Photography (one of Europe’s leading filmmaking and photography schools) in Madrid, Spain. He had previously conducted a master class on directing principles and techniques at the same school in 2019. He re-joined a roster of invited lecturers that includes cinematographers Luca Bigazzi (Sorrentino’s  “The Great Beauty”), Bradford Young (DuVernay’s “When They See Us”), and Nicolas Buldoc (Villeneuve’s “Enemy”), among others.

Prof. Andrew Demirjian’s Artist Talk at Harvestworks

Prof. Andrew Demirjian will be giving an artist talk at  at the Harvestworks house on Governors Island (Nolan Park, #10 house).  The talk coincides with the group exhibition The Workings of Media and there will be a performance and other talks that evening. Prof. Demirjian will talk about his new piece in the show called Recalibrating, created in the Experiments in Art & Technology program with engineers from Nokia Bell Labs. The installation on Gov. Island features a 6-channel audio installation mounted in the ceiling.
