Sarah & Esy’s film screening at UNC

IMA Alumnae Sarah Friedland and Esy Casey recently returned from an amazing trip to the Philippines, during which they filmed Jeepney Movie. During production, they were constantly reminded of the first film they made together, Thing With No Name. Four years after its release it is tragically still relevant.  In honor of world AIDS day, Thing With No Name will be screened at the University of North Carolina School of Public Health.  It is free and open to the public.

When: December 5, 2011  5:30 – 7:30 pm 
(Film is 1 hour, 14 minutes, followed by the talk)

MA student Alex Mallis will be screening a super 8mm film he made called “Under the BQE” at Mono No Aware:

Doors open at 6:00 p.m. and performances begin promptly at 7:00 p.m.
No fee for entry!
