IMA work showcased at Made in NY Media Center (IFP) in Dumbo

Integrated Channels, a showcase of selected new media work by IMA current students and alumni, was showcased at the Made in NY Media Center (IFP) in Dumbo, July 11-31. There were 80-100 attendees on opening night. The event was produced by IMA alumna Cait Carvalho in collaboration with Made in NY Media Center by IFP. Prof. McCarthy represents Hunter at News Literacy Conference

Distinguished Lecturer and Director of the Journalism Program Sissel McCarthy attended this year’s NAMLE conference to give a talk about news literacy education. She shared her MEDIA 211 lesson, “Information Neighborhoods”, during a curriculum roundtable event and taught fellow educators how to help students understand the difference between journalism and all other types of media.
