Derby Content wants you to join us this Winter/Spring for an educational internship in production and marketing.

For this position, your major duties will include:

● Being awesome

● Production research and bid assistance

● Organization and maintenance of Director’s Reel Library on Wiredrive

● Assistance in pre-production

● Maintenance of our Freelancer and Sales Contact Databases

● Assistance with social media for Derby–helping to create content for Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Vimeo and Instagram

● Errands to assist our team

● Maintain our competitive analysis

● Update Award Show List and Submit work to award shows, as approved

● Plan possible client outings

● Work closely with the Production Manager or Coordinator as a Production/Social Media Assistant

You will report to the Executive Producer and Senior Producer, and may work in collaboration with our Production Coordinator or production freelance teams. We hope that your experience with us directly relates to your degree in film production or marketing.

This is a non-paid academic internship, during which you will be expected to provide 2-3 days per week at our office in the Flatiron District. Dates are negotiable based upon your school schedule, beginning Monday, January 4, 2016 for the duration of your Spring term. Your schedule will be approximately 9:30 am– 6 pm. We will reimburse you for your monthly Metrocards and lunches on days while you are at Derby. Breakfasts and snacks are always available at the office.

This internship is viewed by Derby Content as an educational opportunity for you, rather than a full-time position. As such, your internship will include training/orientation and focus primarily on learning, developing new skills and gaining a deeper understanding of concepts through hands on application of the knowledge you learned in class. As such, we have a very strong preference for interns who are majoring in Film and Marketing; however, we may considerothers who have shown a strong interest in learning production.
