IMA alum Olaf Betram-Nothnagel at the Global Activism Symposium

IMA alum Olaf Betram-Nothnagel gave a short talk at the Center for Art and Media Technology (ZKM) as a part of a Global Activism Symposium on January 24th. Many scholars, artists and activists joined this exhibition project with the purpose of discussing the development and form of the socio-political significance of civil engagement in the 21st century.

IMA alum Benj Gerdes moderates Flaherty Film Seminar

This Tuesday, November 12th at 7 PM, IMA alum Benj Gerdes will be moderating a screening and discussion at the Anthology Film Archives showing States of Exception, Exceptional States: The Iron Grip of Nationalism. The screenings will feature films on the unending crisis in the middle east in countries such as Israel, Palestine and Syria. After the show a wine reception will be held in the lobby where the discussion will take place.

IMA alum Dylan Gauthier North Greenpoint tour

IMA alum Dylan Gauthier will be leading a walking discussion tour in North Greenpoint, Brooklyn as part of the breakout Sunday to the Creative Time Summit next Sunday the 27th. The walk will trace the footprint of Greenpoint Landing and 77 Commercial Street mega tower construction projects. They will discuss art and gentrification, urban edge zones and wilderness in the neighborhood. The walk will be followed by a dinner at the Sunview Luncheonette.
