Hi and Happy September!Although we’ve still got another two weeks until fall begins, it’s Labor Day Weekend, which means we’re officially allowed to start talking about the best things we did last summer! Here’s one of my highlights.Backin July, as I was just starting out in my new role here at Center for Communication, I got the chance to go behind the scenes of CenCom’s Make It in Media podcast and shadow the production team working on the new season! I saw first hand how our host, Camila Brango, and producers Derick Borbon and Mariangelica DeCastro worked alongside our partners at BRIC to bring this season to life! The visit was a crash course for life on-set, preparing production, staging visuals, fixing audio, and what it takes to get that perfect take. It was an exciting introduction to production, and an experience I didn’t want to forget — which is why I wrote it all down here for the CenCom blog!I hope you’ll take a look, especially if you’re interested in learning about podcast production. And we’d love to hear about all the great things you did last summer!⚡️ What new thing did you do or learn about?⚡️ What did you accomplish?⚡️ What are you proud of?⚡️ What was just plain fun?Send us an email and tell us all about it!And by the way, new episodes from Season 2 of Make It in Media start dropping ANY DAY, so stay tuned and have a great week! —Daisy Gomez, Cooper-Leibner Fellow 👋
