McGee Media is now accepting applications for a Spring-Summer 2022 internship. The intern will work on a documentary series focused on African American religious history and music.
This is a remote position.
What You’ll Be Doing:
● Compiling research on the topic of the documentary series in a timely manner
● Assisting producers in research for pre-interviews and shoots
● Identifying and accessing archival research
● Providing background research on key scholars or relevant figures to the documentary
● Staying current on happenings and events related to the documentary
What We’re Looking For:
● Excellent research skills, particularly in the areas of African American studies, music, and religion
● Familiarity with scholarly sources and access to research databases
● The ability to deliver research in a fast-paced environment
● Strong communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
●Strong organizational skills, and the ability to document research in an organized and accessible way on Google Drive
