Seeking an intern to work with archival research/licensing, and production with filmmaker Sheila Maniar and Jalaram Productions. The intern will experience all aspects of documentary post-production and production including but not limited to background research, archival research, managing production media (footage/stills), and social media.
Sheila Maniar is a New York-based filmmaker. Miss Maniar was most recently was the Co-Producer for Disco Demolition for Red Bull Music Academy, the Emmy-nominated Wilhemina’s War for PBS, and Emmy-nominated Through A Lens Darkly- which premiered at the 2014 Sundance Film Festival. Miss Maniar has extensive archival research and clearance experience including the Oscar-winning Citizenfour. Miss Maniar was the Archival Clearance Researcher for Jonathan Demme’s Academy Award-nominated Mandela: Son of Africa, Father of a Nation, the Grammy-nominated Two Trains Runnin’, and the Projection Researcher for the Tony-nominated play Evita.
We are looking for an intern who can commit to 10-15 hours a week, on a weekly schedule to be arranged with some flexibility.
