Hey there!
My name is Madeline Chandler and I work at Rooftop Films. We are in our 30th Anniversary Season and to celebrate we are hosting a TREASURE HUNT! I wanted to specially reach out to university students for this. It can be a great team building activity for new NYC students, or an opportunity for film students to show off their chops!
The Rooftop Treasure Hunt will bring together thousands of game players: indie film buffs, urban adventurers, NYC historians, and anyone who wants to have fun solving tricky puzzles with friends!
Challenging participants to untangle a variety of puzzles designed to deliver them to iconic NYC film locations drawn from Rooftop’s rich exhibition history, one massive prize (which is being kept under wraps for now!) will be awarded to the first person or team to solve the final puzzle and complete the quest. Various other rewards will also be available, and everyone who makes it to the end gets access to a top-secret event!
While the puzzling can be done from anywhere, you’ll need to visit each location in person to unlock the final challenge. Hints will be available for purchase along the way, and we expect this first-of-its-kind Rooftop experience to sell out quickly—so secure your early-bird tickets now, while you still can!
