TV Production Management/College Assistant – CUNY TV Partnership and Campus Programming Initiative
Job Overview: The Assistant would perform clerical, administrative, research, and other project management tasks related to CUNY TV’s production and digital marketing under the supervision of the Director of Partnerships and Outreach, who creates and manages partnerships with external institutions, oversees CUNY Campus-based programming, client bookings of production crew, and year-round awards submissions.
Responsibilities and Duties: The Assistant would organize a timeline, documents, and update records related to the CUNY TV Partnership and Campus Programming Initiative. Tasks include, but are not limited to, assembling media from shoots to produce programming, editing programming content for time, screening ready-for-air programming for quality control, preparation of deliverables for CUNY TV’s library, assembling, publishing, and managing content on various social media platforms, assisting with tasks related to awards submission processes.
Qualifications: 1-3 years of editing experience and managing content on social media platforms. Experience in film, television, or advertising. Highly proficient in video editing and promotional design (Adobe Premiere, Photoshop, and Illustrator.) Highly proficient user of MS Office, particularly Excel. Ability to create and analyze reports and databases. Outstanding interpersonal and communications skills. Must be highly organized. Problem-solving attitude.
Location: CUNY TV studios. 365 5th Ave. New York, NY 10016
In-Person/Remote: In-person
Hours/Days: 20 hrs./week. Monday – Thursday; up to 1,040 hours per fiscal year
Hourly Rate of Pay: $25.21
