Hope everyone is doing well. I wanted to reach out about our summer opportunity. As a re-introduction, CUF is an independent, nonpartisan public policy think-tank that produces innovative research on how to expand economic opportunity in New York City. One pillar of CUF’s work is around CUNY as a key engine of economic mobility, as seen here and here.I’m reaching out because every semester we hire a communications intern to support our work.We want to make this paid opportunity available to more CUNY students.Our internship posting with instructions for submitting applications can be seen on our website here. Our communications assistants:
- Assist with the development of social media campaigns and drafting content for platforms like Twitter
- Draft press releases, impacts, and email blasts
- Engage in CUF’s media processes, including explainer video and report design
- Help produce high-profile events from conception to execution, including researching vendors, creating event materials, and ensuring smooth day-of logistics
We are looking to hire interns at 20 hours a week and $15/hour. While the deadline for this upcoming cohort is 4/14, our summer application cycle is relatively competitive and we are already processing candidates; therefore early applications are highly recommended.
