INTERNSHIP OVERVIEW
Are you a diehard hip-hop fan? Do you live online, and consume the latest hip-hop news via social media? A XXL internship allows you to create content for discerning hip-hop fans like yourself.
XXL (4.33M YT subs, 9.4M insta followers, 4.7M X followers) is a brand for the most passionate hip-hop fan. We’re the go to place for the latest hip-hop news and topics. Our interns’ duties range from being on air talent, creating content for social media, and being the ultimate hip-hop fan. As a XXL intern, you will be embedded with our social media team, working on production and post-production, and scheduling.
INTERNSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES
XXL (a brand owned by Townsquare Media) seeks a talented, creative self-starter for a Digital Production internship. The intern will report to the Internship Supervisor and work a minimum of two (2) full days, Monday through Friday between the hours of 9 AM to 5 PM.
This is a REMOTE internship. Interns are asked to provide their own computer, though we do provide a hard drive.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist in the development and editing of video content
- Assist in the development, editing, and posting of social media content
- Assist with other requests from the production and admin team as necessary
- Being on-air talent for recording of video content
Requirements
- A strong working knowledge and passion of the XXL brand and hip-hop.
- Obsessive follower of past and current hip-hop music.
- Analytical thinker who loves to identify problems and create solutions
- Proficiency in Google Docs, Microsoft Office Suite
- Adobe Suite (Premiere Pro) experience required
- Strong knowledge of Social Media platforms: Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, TikTok, YouTube, etc.
- Strong knowledge of Social Media editing software preferred (CapCut, etc.)
- Mac Computer Preferred
