Pano (formerly NYC Women Filmmakers) formed in 2015 out of need. Seeing a lack of women on set and at work, founder Cidney Hue sent out an informal invite to her network. That first meetup of 15 women grew as more women reached out to friends, colleagues, and now, 7 years, 6,000+ members and 150+ free events later, here we are!
As an organization, Pano stands for and supports underrepresented women, non-binary, and GNC creators in every aspect of the entertainment industry. We firmly believe Inclusion + Influence will create the Impact we aim for in film & media. We tackle the big topics: finding more and better work; getting paid fairly; diversity and equality in front of and behind the camera.
