ROLE DETAILS:
Imagine Documentaries is starting their search for a Spring 2026 Development/Production Intern. Estimated program dates are January 12th – May 29th. If interested, please send all resumes and cover letters to

The Imagine Documentaries internship is a full-time, paid ($16.50/hr) opportunity and will work across the development and production departments. We will require our intern to be in the office during their work hours (obviously barring any urgent needs re: illness or similar).
For the development portion, our intern will work closely with our Development department and is a very reading/writing heavy position so candidates will be asked for a writing sample. Duties may include (but not limited to) providing coverage on books/articles/podcasts, general research, contact chasing, and pitching documentary feature and series ideas.
For the production half of the internship, our intern will work closely with the internal Imagine Documentaries production management team while also gaining experience working with our project teams. There may also be opportunities to be on set. Duties may include (but not limited to) general office upkeep, on set production work, research, transcription and shoot prep.
Learning opportunities include scheduled meetings with Imagine Docs freelancers and internal staff and meetings with Imagine staff to ask any general questions that come up.
Qualifications:
– Availability throughout the program session
– Excellent written and verbal communication skills
– An interest in documentary filmmaking
– Reliable internet access (if working from home is necessary)
– Access to a laptop (we can sometimes provide a laptop but on a case by case basis, please disclose if you will require one)
– A willingness to learn and jump on a wide range of projects/tasks
