Dear Kelly, Louisa, and Maura,

I want to alert you to a course being offered next semester by Prof. Ashley Jackson, our brilliant and charismatic harpist, called Storytelling through Performance. (You may remember my referring to this class at FP&B.) She is accepting students from all performance majors. Enrollment so far is quite low, so I would appreciate it if you could promote this fantastic class to your majors who might be interested.

MUSPF 36100/MUS 71910, Storytelling through Peformance, Tu, 4:00–4:50pm (plus hours to be arranged)

Prof. Ashley Jackson

In today’s market, how does one build a brand that stands out from the rest? Storytelling through Performance examines how personal narratives enhance one’s musical choices. Students will develop a repertoire list while working on skills such as writing artist bios, public speaking, and developing pitches to various types of audiences. The course will culminate in a public showcase.

Prof. Ashley Jackson will admit students from other performance majors. Interested students may contact her directly at ashley.jackson@hunter.cuny.edu for permission to register.

Thanks,

–Mark
