Dear all,
I hope this email finds you well.
As part of Film at Lincoln Center’s film education program, we’re thrilled to announce our next free student screening.
Thursday, January 8: 10:00am-12:30pm – 5th Grade & up
SMALL CHANGE (L’ARGENT DE POCHE) by François Truffaut – Flyer enclosed – followed by a Q&A with filmmaker Kleber Mendonça Filho who selected the film
1976, France, 105 minutes, In French with English subtitles
Selected by Kleber Mendonça Filho (who just released his film The Secret Agent) as part of his carte blanche at Film at Lincoln Center, François Truffaut’s Small Change (L’Argent de poche) is a luminous, funny, and deeply empathetic portrait of childhood. One of the major figures of the French New Wave, Truffaut brings his signature warmth and keen observational eye to a series of lively vignettes that capture the resilience, curiosity, and everyday adventures of children in a small French town. Warm, relatable, and filled with moments students instantly connect to, it’s an ideal film to spark conversations about growing up and community. This screening is an excellent fit for French, History, Film/Media Studies, ELA, and Social Studies classes.
As always, Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis : RSVP here
Kindly register for your group only if you are committed to participating in the screening. Given that these events are free of charge, our only request is that, once registered, you show full commitment to attending, ensuring the success of the screening and not depriving spots from other students/school groups.
