CUNY TV offers unpaid internships during the academic Fall and Spring semesters exclusively to full-time CUNY students. Federal Work-Study and Academic Credit internships are available.

Spring 2026 Internship Paths
Camera Assistant Internship
Interns assist with studio and field production, supporting videographers and operating cameras, microphones, and teleprompters. Responsibilities also include equipment upkeep and inventory support. Ideal for students interested in video production and field work.
Production Assistant Internship
Interns support producers through research, content gathering, and coordination with videographers and editors. Interns may also assist with social media ideas and, depending on experience, may produce a television segment.
Editing Assistant Internship
Interns support post-production by editing promotional materials, assisting editors, preparing deliverables for the CUNY TV library, and maintaining databases. This role is ideal for students interested in post-production workflows.
Social Media Assistant Internship
Interns help CUNY TV engage audiences across multiple digital platforms. Responsibilities include creating and publishing posts, producing short-form videos, designing graphics using Canva, and appearing on camera for promotional content. Interns stay up to date on social media trends and execute content that aligns with CUNY TV’s brand. They also schedule posts, analyze engagement metrics, and collaborate with producers and editors to highlight programming and campaigns. This role is ideal for students who are creative, comfortable on camera, familiar with Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and other platforms, and interested in digital media, marketing, and audience engagement. Basic video editing skills are a plus.
