Interested in a Career in Visual Effects?

Warner Bros. Discovery Access and Reel Works are launching a VFX Coordinator Training program in New York City! We are looking for individuals with a true interest and passion for visual effects, regardless of previous experience.

The successful candidate will learn how to support the VFX team across a variety of duties including, but not limited to collaboration during prep and shoot, tracking content delivery, VFX talent acquisition and supporting software initiatives to streamline productivity. 

This course is designed to build exposure and provide a launching pad for a career in visual effects or as a post-coordinator with a visual effects focus.  The successful candidate will be a proactive and positive thinker with excellent communication skills and a passion for new technology.

This course will cover how to:

·  Support and coordination of all aspects of VFX from development through delivery

·  Assist VFX team in tracking projects including vendors, talent and workflows

·  Support VFX team to facilitate close collaboration between VFX, Post Production, Physical Production and all production and studio departments

·  Track and facilitate communications between VFX team and vendors, crew, internal teams and external teams to facilitate circulation of information

·  Assist in tracking post & VFX schedules, keeping relevant parties informed of status

·  Learn essentials of data collection and distribution

·  Basic knowledge of Shotgrid, filemaker, microsoft suite, Pix, Scenechronize, Box, Smart sheets, Airtable and other cloud based software

Qualifications

Required:

·  21+ Years Old

·  Eligible to Work in United States

·  Must be a New YorkTri- State (NY, NY, CT)  Resident within 50 mile radius of Columbus Circle

·  Some exposure to VFX in the form of VFX PA, has worked at a VFX Facility, has been a compositor or CGI artist or training, Post production experience, Gaming experience or VFX type courses at school or college

·  A self-starter with the enthusiasm to jump into any project big or small

·  The ability to handle a fast paced constantly changing environment

·  Strong organizational skills and problem-solving ability

·  Attention to detail

·  A working knowledge of google sheets and the Microsoft suite, including OneDrive and Excel

·  A team-player who is not afraid to ask questions

·  Basic knowledge and/or curiosity of computer based visual effects

·  A real passion for visual effects, regardless of previous experience

Preferred, but not required:

·  Has been a VFX PA or has worked in a VFX Facility
