Pentimento Productions, https://www.pentimentoprods.com/ a documentary film company in Brooklyn, is seeking an intern to help with our latest project, a new music documentary. Our most recent films include Jane Fonda in Five Acts (2018), Very Ralph (2019), and The Janes (2022) – all for HBO.
We’re looking for someone to join us as soon as possible for 2/3 days a week from 11am-6pm ET. We are hoping the intern can stay on the project through the summer.
As an intern, you would work very closely with the production team and would communicate with key members of our small team in both NY and LA.
This is a great opportunity to get to see how the production and edit phases of a project come together. We are able to offer academic credit and reimbursement for transportation to and from the office.
Specific tasks include:
– Conducting in-depth archive research
– Transcribing interview footage
– Logging and organizing archival assets in our database
– Various shoot prep tasks
– Various day-to-day tasks including mailings and other general business errands
